Professional software for creating digital photo slide show

How to Add Video Clips to Photo Slideshow Project

If you are making a photo DVD slideshow and want to import video clips into it, you may be faced with the issue that the video file format is not supported by your slideshow software.

Take Windows Movie Maker for example, it only supports video formats like .asf, .avi, .wmv, .mpeg, .mpg, .mlv. Therefore, if you have a video file in .m4v, .mov, .mkv, .flv, .3gp, or .mts format, you cannot directly import it into your Windows Movie Maker project.

In this case, you may download Clone2Go Free Video Converter to help you. Using this free video converter, you will be able to convert nearly all video formats for inserting into your slideshow project.

The best part of this freeware is that it allows you to exactly trim the video length. So you can insert the exact clip you need into the slideshow.

In the following part, I'd like to show you how to add video clips to Photo DVD Burner Professional.

However, Photo DVD Burner Professional only supports .avi video format. So you need to convert your video to AVI file using Clone2Go Free Video Converter. When using this converter you also need to set the "video codec" to "msmpeg4v2".

Please take note that the video files and photo files cannot be imported into the same album. So after you add .avi video clips, you need to build a new album for photos.
